Barista

Porch de Salomon is looking for an barista to work in one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Solomon’s Porch is a coffee house that provides funding for and serves as base for the Christian NGO Porch de Salomon. We have live music, a large screen cinema, and a full restaurant. The fun lively atmosphere is a great place for local expatriates, and tourists to hang out and enjoy Panajachel. Applicants must agree with and adhere to the beliefs and guidelines of Porch de Salomon. Some Spanish required, 6 month minimum commitment preferred.

Youth Leader

Porch de Salomon is looking for a young, active, youth leader to work with the teens in Panajachel Guatemala. Panajachel is a modern Guatemalan town in the beautiful Lake Atitlan, full of ex-patriots and Europeans. There is a large English speaking community among the teens. We are looking for someone to plan, promote, and take part in youth activities 2 nights a week, and one day on the weekend. The teens in Panajachel are limited in their activities, and there is a great opportunity to relate to them and keep them out of trouble, and off the streets. The activities will be based out of a lively coffee house with live music and nightly, large screen, movies. Applicants must agree with and adhere to the beliefs and guidelines of Porch de Salomon. Some Spanish recommended, 6 month minimum commitment preferred.
